How do i stop my anxiety with picking a major for school?

ive always been good at school even though i was sort of a slacker. back in highschool i would ditch class, get into fights, smoke, hang out with my girl and still get As and Bs simply becuz i did my home work and studied. Now that im in college i keep on getting anxiety attacks becuz i know that my major will eventually determine my future. i keep changing majors and cant do my work because all these thoughts will go through my head like: your major won't do u any good, u won't find a good job with your major, u won't be able to pay off your loans, etc. when i quit school and just work then these thoughts will come: you need to go back to school or u won't make it in life etc. how do i make this stop? its been occuring for the past five years!How do i stop my anxiety with picking a major for school?

Do what you want...I was going to be a chemistry major when I first started college. I hated it and then changed to majoring in music. I took a psychology class as an elective and fell in love with it. Now I've graduated with a psychology degree and am currently attending graduate school. You just need to find what you love.
u need to try things b4 u can kno if it will make u happy, u can just be like, o i wana be a sergin cuz the world needs more, cuz theres alot ov college work and other work that goes with it that you dont kno about, so find out all the work that will go with each thing, idk how to do that, but if your already in college maybe u can, maybe college isnt rite for u, but if u like it then stay, idk what u like to do, but i like to dance and model. u should be a sergen or someone that researches medicins and test new plants to find cures for things like cancer and aids.., the world needs more of those.
Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.



Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.

But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called ';St John's Wort'; - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.



The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that ';learned behavior'; in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
