I REALLY need help in choosing my university major. I want to be an Industrial Organisation Psychologist!?

I just graduated from a Graphic Design degree but I decided to do an extra 7 years *sigh* of torturing studies to become what I want, an Industrial Organization Psychologist (IO PSY).

I got accepted to do a double degree in a Bachelor of PSYCHOLOGY and Bachelor of BUSINESS. I'm enrolling now and must choose only ONE major. I was wondering which one would be the best option to take me to where I want to be:

- Accounting (YUK)

- Advertising (This interests me because I'm a graphic designer)

- Economic (YUK)

- Fiance (TRIPLE YUK)

- Human Resource

- International Business (Can someone tell me what I can do with an INT.BUS major?)

- Management (I thought this may be too broad and not specialized enough)

- Marketing (Whats the diff between advertising and marketing???)

- Public Relation

Since I'm interested in design, I was interested in advertising but I don't know how changing major may effect what I learn and where I end up specialising in. Thanks!!!!I REALLY need help in choosing my university major. I want to be an Industrial Organisation Psychologist!?
So are you trying to be and I/O phsychologist or a designer? Your question seems to go in two different directions. If you want to be a psychologist I'd go with the psych major and maybe a minor in human resources. If you want to be a graphic designer that is usually something the art/computer science department. Advertising will teach you tips and techniques about ads, but not necessarily how to design them like a degree specific to graphic design would do.I REALLY need help in choosing my university major. so y doing Graphic design in first place, it is not related to what u want to be ( psychologist)

Don't be a psychologist, take advertising
Advertising actually deals with creating a brand image. Marketing executes that image to the public. I think marketing has more technical business skills than public relations. I think you should just go for whatever you want to do. If you want to be an industrial psychology person, does it have anything to do with business? You don't have to pick one major, because it's possible to do TWO. Of course, that requires more work, more hours and more money. Go with something you are into, because in the end, you don't want to switch to something else.

If you don't like something, the best advice is to NOT to get into it. Your lack of interest will make you do poorly in school work, because you have no drive to do it. It's more of a chore, and that in itself can cause a harder time in your subjects (I know from experience).

Good luck.

Oh yes:

International business is a good major to get into, especially nowadays with globalization. The market trade between countries is booming, and our co-dependency with other countries' raw material goods or outsourced businesses puts more job prospects out there. Talk to a counselor about this one, because I'm sure they would know more about it..or well better yet (sometimes counselors are of no help), talk to someone who's actually IN this major.
I say grab accounting for the job security , then get a MBA specialized in Marketing
