If you want real change isn't it time to break up the Democrat/Republican monopoly on US Govt?

How can Presidential candidates talk about change in US Govt. when they are part of the parties (Democrat %26amp; GOP) that have caused all of the problems in the first place?

If these candidates really wanted to show that wanted to make the major changes that need to happen in Washington they should start by starting new political parties to break the monoploy that the Dems %26amp; GOP have had for over 100 years. If you want real change isn't it time to break up the Democrat/Republican monopoly on US Govt?
There are the independents and the green party, but it will take along time for them to become organized and funded enough to compete on a large scale. From an American's point of view, they won't bother to vote for a person who doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning, they would be throwing away their vote.If you want real change isn't it time to break up the Democrat/Republican monopoly on US Govt?
The parties are a reflection of the masses. To change the party system and what happens in Gov't its the people that put the candidates in power that need to change themselves. If anyone is to blame its our system of majority rule.
To answer your question, yes. However, everyone keeps voting for the same parties. In fact, people keep voting for the same damn people! This is why you have 30 year Senators. Then, these same people are polled to determine approval rating, and they give Congress an approval rating less than President Bush's. Our political situation is our own fault.
the lections are jokes, we are run by cartel bosses and banks!!! wake up america...

Our first president believed that we should not form political parties because they would rip our nation apart... and now they have! We absorb knowledge so well.
If ';we the people'; had guts, courage, and balls, we would read the Declaration of Independence, and act on the instructions provided therein. The national elections are a facade, and the duped citizens march to the polls like robots, every four years and vote for one of two candidates, who were placed before them as choices by big money. Money corrupts! Money is power! Money controls! Politics is big money, corruption, and power of the elite, at the expense of the average, working-class citizen. Our laws are perverted to satisfy the desires of big money, example emminent domain is violated everyday, in order to take property from those who cannot defend themselves from the wealthy corporate vultures. The people desparately need a representative government, whereby the people vote directly on issues of national magnitude, such as abortion, capital punishment, etc.
