If your on finacial aid are you allowed to change majors?

i have fasfa and i was wondering

would i be allowed to change my major

how does that workIf your on finacial aid are you allowed to change majors?
Your financial aid will be unaffected if you decide to change majors. It does not make a difference because everyone gets a predetermined amount of money from the state and federal goverment if you qualify for it. You won't get more money because you decide to change your degree from business to science. However, if you have a scholarship for a certain program and change to a completely different degree it will probably be affected. I'm talking about the scholarships you apply for in school that may require a 3.25GPA for business but then a 3.00GPA for science. If your on finacial aid are you allowed to change majors?
As far as federal assistance, all that is required is that you are a student in good standing. You can change majors. There may be some specific scholarships that are contingent on you staying in a certain major, but you did not mention anything like that.
You can change your major. Your financial aid elgibility is determined only by your progress to degree. That is, if you pass 24 credits evey year, it doesn't matter what you''ve chosen for your major.
FAFSA and your financial aid has nothing to do with your college major. You can change your major any time you want to while you're in university.

To declare a major, you normally go to the department you're interested in. For example, if you're interested in doing an Economics major, you go to the Economics Department at your university, fill out a piece of paper, and just like that, you're and Econ Major! If you want to change your major at any point, just go back to the Econ Department, tell them you no longer want to be and Econ Major, and then go to the next department you want to major in.
