Can Yahoo Answers actually change your point of view on something meaningful?

Have anyone changed major opinions based on what they've seen on YA? In politics, religion, etc.

How so?

Do you think most people are too set to change their minds? Can Yahoo Answers actually change your point of view on something meaningful?
In the three months I've read and participated in Answers, I haven't completely changed a personal point of view, but I have considered other viewpoints and fresh perspectives. I'd say that I've amended my stance on some issues, and at least been more open-minded on others.

The best for me is still new knowledge gained from others' answers and from research for my own answers. Can Yahoo Answers actually change your point of view on something meaningful?
Changes mine every 2 minutes.
I'm open to hear other points of view. If it is something I agree with, then sure.
actually i have changed major opinions because its is amazing how people really answer their question/answer with such detail and explanation
Yahoo! Answers has a very slight effect on my fundamental opinion. I'm a very uptight person and i stand firm to my beliefs. YA mostly reinforces my beliefs and opinions.
I have become more tolerant of other races, I still don't like Democrats tho........#######
I think if you see a good argument it can influence your opinion as long as you are no dead set on it.

I have relaxed after reading some answers and sat back and thought more about something after reading other answers
Not me but I've seen it happen. There was one person I saw who was hard core lib and has changed their postings to con. It only took about 6 months.
this sight is very useful on meds and health troubles more so it is perfect really helped me through family health times.
