Should I change major from Computer Science to IT?

well, currently I'm going to school for Computer Science I like programming, like to create things and make it to work, it has been a lot of fun, but sometimes I do not have the desire to code, if it is a school assignment too difficult for me, or boring. lately assignments have been gigantic and discourages me a little, when I hear some people taking 18 credits it makes me sick because I can only do well in CS major with 2 Computer science classes at the time. so here is the thought is IT any easier by looking at their curriculum it looks similar to CS, but not so much programming. am I making some sense here? should I change my major by discouragement of some CS assignments? Thank you for your input.

it also discourages me how some people can progress a lot faster in their majors other than CS, and I already took pretty much all my generals, just need now the cs classes, but I can only take them 2 at a time because of their hardness...Should I change major from Computer Science to IT?
I personally had the same dilemma you are having right now. I originally went to college for CS, I enjoyed performing all of the tasks, but as I progressed things got harder and more frustrating. I debating on staying in school at all. I heard that a couple of my friends were taking IT and computer networking and I started looking over some of their text books and thought that it looked pretty cool. I did switch my major and it was the best thing I could have done, I enjoy all of the networking and problem solving and every that goes along with it. I now work as and IT guru for my company and provide remote support for all of the employees. If CS is getting a little too complicated for you, I would go ahead and switch majors, not to mention that their are more opportunities with IT then there is with CS.
