I want to change my major to something more versatile perhaps marketing any advice?

I just recently graduated with my associate's degree in human services and while I like people I just don't have an interest in becoming a social worker or crisis counselor etc. I would like for my bachelor's degree to be in a field that is challenging yet very versatile. however, I am somewhat hesistant about majoring in business because I don't have a strong interest in numbers, complex math, and talking in front of large groups of people. I am someone who is capable of working in a team but prefers to work alone and I like work that is more behind the scenes. As far as doing work that involves research I prefer to do things such as designing a survey. Therefore, I was thinking of becoming a market research analyst but am worried about how I would do in courses such as accounting, finance, and sales. I took an accounting course in highschool and I did extremely well at level one but I struggled with level two and drop the class after a week. in spite of my fear should I try again?I want to change my major to something more versatile perhaps marketing any advice?
My major was in Advertising which contained almost identical coursework to Marketing. I think you are making out a business degree and working in business to be more difficult than it is. Public speaking is the number one fear everyone has so join the club. If you take business courses it is possible you will face an accounting course or two but that is it.

I would find a general field like Marketing or Education and go get that 4 year degree. A degree tells a future employer two important things: #1 That you are teachable and #2 that you can complete what you start. Many employers don't care what your degree is in but that you have one. They figure they will retrain you anyway.

Most people change majors several times in college and change careers several more times after they are out in the workforce. So just relax and don't worry that you need to make a lifetime decision right now.

I never ever had a job in Advertising but the fact I had that degree was very valuable.I want to change my major to something more versatile perhaps marketing any advice?
Marketing is not a great field its all sales jobs the pay is not very well either. A bachelors in marketing will get you a starting salary of $30,000, its not worth it. Get a degree in management or something related to the health industry (booming field).

P.S Anything you do thats business related marketing, management, accounting ect... will require alot of math which means (calculas and statistics) very tough courses.
Yeah, sounds like you should go for a Marketing Analyst or Sales Analyst type of job in a large corporate firm like Sony, Target, Apple, Microsoft, Disney, etc. These large corporations are fun to work in the sales %26amp; marketing departments becuase you can actually help the sales teams track products you know and use like Sony TVs, DVDs, Disney ticket sales and Household goods.

By taking a business degree you would cover your basis for any corprotion in the market place. Finance numbers come into play to help track Gross Sales and Profit Margins for the products in a given company.
