What were the major changes in women's lived experience from 1900 to 2000?

How and why did they prompt a movement for women's liberation to emerge in the 1960's and 1970's??What were the major changes in women's lived experience from 1900 to 2000?
To Vote, Abortion, work discrimination (still going on though). I would get a book and read about it verses going to yahoo answers. The jist of the 70's movement was for more autonomy and control over there bodies and Independence, it fell in a little with Roe v Wade. There was stigma's such as a woman was no good if she had premarital sex (the feminist movement has helped a tremendous amount of guys to get laid by the way). Women were getting treated like second class citizens and just got tired of it. Things like couldn't open a bank account without her husbands permission, or charge a big ticket item without permission. Also, if they were a single women then they were really screwed. I recommend reading about it verses listening to uneducated people rant their biased opinions and hatred towards women. What were the major changes in women's lived experience from 1900 to 2000?
